Superior Livestock Auction hosted their video auction live June 5th from The Superior Livestock Auction Studio in Hudson Oaks, Texas. Cattle producers sold 21,637 head of calves, yearlings and bred stock totaling 167 lots from 13 states for this offering. Strong buyer participation from several bidders throughout the auction resulted in 68 different successful buyers. Cattle were sold on contract to deliver immediately through January 2026. Superior Livestock went live with the auction at 8 a.m. CT. The June 5th video auction was broadcast in HD on SLA-TV YouTube, Dish Network Ch. 997 and streamed on Superior Livestock Auction’s Click to Bid website.

Regions 3/4/5/6 Feeder Steers opened the auction and witnessed buyers being selective of genetics and delivery; steers coming off the Flint Hill and Osage grass late June through July received advances of $15 to $25 higher than our last auction. Feeder Heifers from the same regions were $10 to $15 higher. Regions 1 & 2 Feeders were only lightly tested but also on a higher trend. Beef on Dairy saw new levels $20 to $30 higher to a very receptive buyer base.

Region 5 Weaned Calves and Calves on Cows set new highs at $20 to $40 increase over previous auctions. Region 3/4/6 Weaned Calves and Calves on Cows were also met with strong demand at $10 to $20 higher on limited supply. A light test of bred heifers and cows for fall calving were well received.
