Superior Livestock Auction hosted their video auction live on June 27th from the Superior Livestock Auction Studio in Hudson Oaks, Texas. Cattle producers sold 18,649 head of calves, yearlings, and bred stock, totaling 162 lots from 13 states for this offering. Strong buyer participation from several bidders throughout the auction resulted in 60 different successful buyers. Cattle were sold on contract to deliver immediately through February 2025. Superior Livestock went live with the auction at 8 a.m. CT. The June 27th Video Auction was broadcast in HD on SLA-TV YouTube, Dish Network Ch. 997 and streamed on Superior Livestock Auction’s Click to Bid website.
Feeder Steers from regions 3/4/5/6 opened the auction and were met with an aggressive buyer base. Steady trend across most weight classes; however, lighter weights under 700 pounds were $8 to $10 higher. Feeder Heifers from the same regions were softer at $4 to $6 lower than the last test. Feeders and Calves from regions 1 & 2 were only lightly tested. Beef Dairy Crosses were well and fully steady with the last auction. Regions 3/4/5/6 Calves on Cows and Weaned Calves were upwardly trending at $7 to $12 higher.
